Conservatorship and Elder Abuse Prevention (CEAP):

A joint project between Senior Citizens Legal Services and the Santa Cruz County Superior Court provides information about the conservatorship process, and elder abuse restraining orders, to assist people who do not have a lawyer and need general procedural guidance in locating and filing out court forms.

Drop-in appointments both in Santa Cruz & Watsonville.

Senior Legal Hotline:

www.seniorlegalhotline.org  offers free legal advice by phone on any subject to California residents over 60. Written materials and some additional advocacy may be provided, and clients who need more extensive assistance are referred to an appropriate legal services program, or other source. A new mediation program can help resolve some disputes. Regular phone hours are 9:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. M-F, and until 7 p.m. on Thursdays. Depending on call volume, callers during those hours may receive immediate service or a call-back appointment. Seniors can also submit questions from the web site, www.seniorlegalhotline.org. A return phone call will set a time for a phone appointment with a Senior Legal Hotline advocate. Senior Legal Hotline is a program of Legal Services of Northern California.
